This Privacy Policy explains how Fearless Rambler (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website, read our blog, or purchase merchandise through our shop.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information you give us directly
- Contact form: When you reach out via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- Shop orders: When you purchase merchandise, our shop platform collects your name, shipping address, billing information, email address, and phone number (if provided). Payment card details are handled directly by our payment processor — we never store your full card number.
b) Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, standard technical information may be logged automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the time and date of your visit. This is typically handled through website hosting logs and/or analytics tools.
c) Cookies
Our website may use cookies — small files stored on your device — to keep the site functioning and to understand how visitors use it. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site (like the shop) may not work properly without them.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to messages you send through our contact form
- Process and fulfill merchandise orders
- Send order confirmations and shipping updates
- Improve the website and content based on how visitors use it
- Comply with legal obligations (such as tax records for sales)
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted third-party services to run parts of our website. Each has their own privacy practices:
- WooCommerce — handles our online shop and order processing. WooCommerce is a plugin for WordPress. See WooCommerce’s Privacy Policy.
- [Payment processor, e.g. Stripe / PayPal] — processes payment transactions securely.
- [Email/hosting provider, e.g. Mailchimp / Google Workspace] — may be used to receive contact form submissions.
- YouTube — our video content is embedded from or linked to YouTube. Viewing YouTube content is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Analytics (if used, e.g. Google Analytics) — helps us understand site traffic. You can opt out via Google’s opt-out tool.
4. Data Retention
- Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, then deleted.
- Order records are retained as required for tax and business purposes (typically 5–7 years).
5. Your Choices
You have the right to:
- Ask what information we hold about you — just contact us.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal information, where applicable.
- Opt out of any future marketing emails by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email we send.
We don’t currently send marketing emails, but if we add a newsletter in the future, this policy will be updated and signup will be opt-in.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. However, no method of internet transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and keep your account information private.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
