Lagoon just opened two brand-new social clubs just for adults, and it might be more surprising than the new Nutcracker ride that opened a few weeks back.
Tucked upstairs above the Carousel Candy and the Peacock Parlour, these clubs have absolutely nothing to do with roller coasters. I'd been wondering what was going on up there since the space first showed up back in 2025. So on opening day, I went up to see for myself.
Cocktails, air conditioning, comfortable seating, and not a single screaming kid in sight. At an amusement park. In Utah.
To get in, you head to the atrium between the Carousel Candy and the Peacock Parlour, and staff checks your ID at the door. Strictly 21 and over, no exceptions. Cover charge is $10 for one person or $15 for two, which honestly isn't bad, and once you've paid you can move freely between both clubs all day. Now here's the thing I want you to know before you go up there. When I first visited, there was no re-entry. Leave the atrium, you're paying again to get back in. I made a comment about how maybe they should hand out a stamp instead. Apparently somebody at Lagoon agrees with me, because that policy is already gone, they hand out wristbands now. We'll get to that.
The Carousel Club
First stop was the Carousel Club, and I wasn't ready for it. Dark green walls, warm lighting, chandeliers, shelves of real books. Walking in felt like I'd wandered into some rich guy's private library from the 1920s, the kind of place where you'd expect somebody discussing horse racing over a glass of expensive bourbon. Everything's themed around carousel horses, there's a gorgeous stained glass window as the centerpiece, and I'll be honest, the whole room made me want to lower my voice. I ordered a soda in there once and felt judged for it.
I tried the mocktail of the day, a blackberry spritzer. Fresh muddled blackberries, a little sweetener, some lemon or lime, topped with Sprite. Tasted like summer in a glass. Between the two clubs, this one's my favorite, no contest. It's small, just a handful of tables, so it's not built for a crowd. But for a quiet drink away from the noise of the park, it's hard to beat.
The Flirty Birdie
Cross the hallway and you're in a completely different universe. If the Carousel Club says sit down and relax, the Flirty Birdie says absolutely not, we're having fun. Pink couches, retro lighting, a deck that looks right over the roller coaster, and a stained glass peacock window with a little wink in its eye that pretty much sums up the whole room. This place has attitude.
We grabbed the mocktail of the day here too, a cucumber mint spritz, which, yeah, tastes like cucumber. That's about what you'd expect. Also ordered the teriyaki meatball skewers, sweet and savory, tender meat, genuinely good. At $17 though, you're paying amusement park prices for them, no way around that.
It's Not Just These Two Clubs
If cocktail lounges aren't your speed and you'd rather have a beer, the Beer Garden Restaurant by the Nutcracker has been around since 2019, twenty craft beers on tap including Utah favorites like Wasatch, Squatters, and Roosters. There's something kind of funny about sitting there with a cold IPA while people scream their lungs out on the ride right above your head. Just know you can't bring food or alcohol in or out of that area.
And over in the steampunk-themed District, built where the old log flume used to be, there's the Snake Bite Saloon. Family-friendly, serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic stuff, including the Snake Bite Freeze, which is basically an icy drink piled with gummy snakes.
So Was It Worth It
Between the cover charge and a drink or two, this isn't a cheap stop. But for a chance to cool off away from the crowds, I don't think it's unreasonable either. If I had to pick, the Carousel Club wins for atmosphere, but the Flirty Birdie's got its own fun energy if you want something more lively. Either way, Lagoon's added a whole new layer to the park, and it gives adults a real reason to take a break, even if it's just for one drink.
Want to see both clubs for yourself? I walked through the whole thing on video, drinks, food, and all.

If you're headed to Lagoon this season, these clubs are worth checking out at least once. And like I mentioned, they've already fixed that re-entry issue, so you don't even have to worry about what I had to deal with on opening day.
